Thanks to all those who attended the recent conference ‘Climate Change: The way forward for local authorities’
The event was attended by local authority officials and elected members from around the country and was held in partnership with Dublin City Council. The presentations from the day are available below.
Thank you to all who attended the CHANGE series of events in Dublin, Cork and Galway.
The goal of the events was to further develop partnerships and increase awareness of the issues of climate change among a variety of sectors. The sectors invited to these events were: Business (SME & Large), Public Sector, Tourism, Construction, Education, Agriculture & Forestry. These events were aimed at people with responsibility for addressing climate change in their organisation. They were also aimed at those who may be assuming that responsibility in the future.
These events:
- Filled in information gaps on climate change
- Explained what others are doing to reduce their carbon emissions
- Provided the opportunity to partner with the CHANGE campaign
- Allowed people to input into how the campaign should develop for their sector
