Putting Your Plan in Place
Now that you have set a target and assessed how you can reduce your carbon emissions, you need to put these measures in place and manage how your company or organisation incorporates climate change into their day to day activities.
Tips for Taking Action
Have a high-profile launch to give the programme a good kick-start.
Have regular meetings with your team (particularly at the start) to ensure everyone is kept informed.
Try to get some ‘quick-wins’. This will boost confidence amongst staff and your team, and will motivate them for some of the harder challenges.
Keep motivation going – this is one of the most important things to remember when taking action.
Review your plan on a regular basis to see what progress is being made against the targets that you have set.
Engaging Your Organisation
In order to involve the entire workforce, the climate change message and your organisation’s commitment must be communicated.
