This carbon calculator will allow you to quantify the basic carbon number of your business or organisation. This will allow you to understand the sources of carbon emissions, the quantities involved and where you can allocate resources in order to reduce your carbon emissions, save energy and cut costs.
The calculator is used to calculate your business carbon number for a 12 month period, therefore you need 12 months' data for all of the above.
Change recommends that you fill in as much of the calculator as possible, however since not all sections will be relevant to you, you can choose which sections to complete.
You can save your progress at any time and return at a later date to continue with your calculation, or to update your information. You can use the calculator as many times as you like and save each calculation separately.
In order to complete the calculator you will need information on the following:
Energy use on site, e.g. for heating.
Vehicle usage - kilometres per vehicle or fuel used in vehicles.
Employee business travel - no. of kilometres/flights.
Employee commuting details - no. of kms and transport type.
Couriers information - no. of kms and transport type.
Data on waste amount and type.
